Roy is currently sharing his knowledge, love, and passion for salsa (especially ‘On2′) in Austin, Texas. He believes it’s his responsibility as an instructor to further the knowledge and skill of his students, while also maintaining a cohesion with the other styles of dance taught by other instructors. He believes that no salsa scene would thrive without any outside influence; salsa is a living, breathing art form that constantly changes as new ideas come forward.
For this reason, Roy regularly travels to learn from great instructors, believing that the only way to provide his students with the highest quality instruction is if he himself is adapting to the constant growth of salsa. With Roy there is always a new step, style, or flair to keep even the most accomplished dancer on his or her toes.
